The University of Portsmouth is a public university that was established in 1869. It is located in the city of Portsmouth, Hampshire and enrolls 19,000 students, including 3,000 overseas students. The university has created a base in applied research in various business, industry, public and voluntary sectors. There are 5 faculties offered by the university: Portsmouth Business School, Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and Faculty of Science and Faculty of Technology.
